Are you a busy mom on the brink of a toy tornado, a laundry lava flow, or a paper pile-up hurricane? Well, strap on your superhero cape, mom, because I’ve got some decluttering quick fixes that are about to make you feel like the queen of clean in just 10 minutes flat!
Most of the time we think there is no way we can achieve anything in as little time as 10 minutes, right! When we think about decluttering, our brain immediately tells us we need at least 30 minutes which we simply don’t have with everything else going on!
So the decluttering never gets done!
I am here to challenge you today, because I am here to tell you that you can declutter A LOT in 10 minutes!
Now, before you start shouting at your screen telling me how crazy I am, I want you to stick with me for just a little longer!
I promise these 20 minute decluttering tasks will change your life!
Are you ready to get started?
Before each challenge below, set a timer for 10 minutes and stop when the timer goes off!

1. The Magical Mug Maneuver
Grab an empty mug and walk through your house. Find five items that don’t belong – be it stray crayons, leftover legos, or rogue receipts – and pop them into the mug! Take a victory lap as you return each item to its rightful realm!
2. The Speedy Swipe-Off
Snag a microfiber cloth and give a rapid whoosh to your living room table, removing items that don’t belong as you go! Return the items to where they actually do belong, if some live upstairs, put them in a basket for the next person going upstairs to take them.
3. The Quick Drawer Draw
Zoom into your most chaotic drawer (you know the one!), and in a ten-minute tornado, clear the clutter (or at least some of it)! Toss anything that’s turning your drawer into a Bermuda triangle of lost items. Think items like pens, coupons, broken items that shouldn’t be there, and trash!
4. The Counter-Top Countdown
Launch a full-scale attack on kitchen counters in just 10 minutes! Relocate dishes, wipe down surfaces, and marvel as your kitchen goes from a “no-man’s-land” to a “meal-prep paradise” faster than you can say spatula!

5. The Playtime Pickup Challenge
Every evening time, set a timer for ten minutes and transform chaos into order with a fun family game. Who can put away the most toys before the buzzer beeps? Ready, set, tidy! This works super well with the kiddos!
6. The Bookshelf Blitz
Set a timer and sift through your kids books and get rid of any that are torn beyond repair, leaving more room for books they do want to read.
7. The Garbage Dash
Pick a room and walk through it with a trash bag in hand on the lookout for anything resembling trash. Old magazines, junk mail, or that “what is that even” piece floating under the sofa – into the bin it goes! Put that bag straight into the trash and pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
8. The Digital Declutter
How can you even have 35,680 emails (it’s not just me right??), how is it possible to even subscribe to that many emails. I have no idea, but here’s a way to get that number down! When you’re sitting in the car line, take time to blitz through your digital mess. Delete and unsubscribe from emails you don’t want to be on. Do this for every car line pick up and you will soon have that number down!

9. The Closet Cultivation
Railroading through your clothes’ rack, remove at least three items that you haven’t worn since the last time ‘Friends’ aired a new episode – yes, it’s been that long. Set a timer, don’t think and grab some outfits!
10. The Bathroom Bash
Clear out those empty shampoo bottles or that lip gloss you only wear when there’s a blue moon. A quick toss-out session and you’ve scored a neater, fresher bathroom!
11. Fridge Funk Fest
Get rid of anything that’s growing a science experiment. Your fridge space is prime real estate!
12. Medicine Cabinet Hoedown
Head to your bathroom and go through your medicine cabinet. Toss any expired meds you come across and make space for the healthy essentials.

13. Laundry Lineup
Match socks and make peace with the missing ones. Single sock? Time to hop!
14. Car Seat Scramble
Check under seats for forgotten treasures or trash. Fasten your seatbelts; it might be a wild ride!
15. Tupperware Twist
Play matchmaker with lids and containers. Orphan pieces can find a new life elsewhere
16. Digital Declutter-thon
Clear out your emailphone photos. Your storage will thank you!

17. Beauty Product Shakedown
Out with the old, get rid of any makeup that’s looking old and crusty.
18. Spice Rack Rave
Shake and shimmy those spices into order. Expired or mystery bottles? Time to go!
19. Bathroom Blitz
Wipe counters and put hair ties and bobby pins in a container and off the cuunters.
20. Clothes Chair Rescue
That chair isn’t a closet. Hang ’em up or toss ’em in the hamper—you’ll feel better when you do!
So, can you agree with me that a 10 minute decluttering chore can indeed change your life! So if your pantry is driving you bananas because you can never seem to find the spice you need EVER. Set a timer for 10 minutes and dive in. The best part is, nobody needs to know it only took you 10 minutes to declutter!
You’re welcome!
Mom, you’ve got the power of a hundred Herculeses when you’re in declutter mode! Each tiny victory, each item in its place, each clear surface brings a sparkle that reflects the joy in your space! So, turn up that tune, roll up those sleeves, and reclaim your home – one ten-minute triumph at a time!
Remember, decluttering doesn’t mean overhauling your entire home in a day. It’s about winning little battles, one cluttered corner at a time. Embrace the quick clean-ups, and keep spreading those smiles, supermom! đŸ’–
